Road to the 2011 CrossFit Games: our weekly training – week 3

Week 3 is over and here is a review from our weekly training….

  • Lift of the week: 3 RM weighted pull-ups
  • Individual WOD: every minute on the minute/for 20 min: 2 clean and jerk 70/50 kg. + 6 kettlebell swings 32/24 kg.
  • Team WOD1: 1RM snatch in 15 min. followed by max handstand push-ups in 5 min.
  • Team WOD2: each person does: 50 burpees, 40 kettlebell swings 24/16 kg., 30 goblet squats 32/24 kg., 20 medball slams, 10 deadlift 125/85 kg. Change when both persons have finished the exercise.

Teams:

  • Ditte + Sanne
  • Nicholas + Anders
  • Kyle + Sarah

Individual high lights:

  • 3 RM weighted pull-ups: Kyle 50 kg. (2 reps 56 kg.), Nicholas 47,5 kg., Ditte and Sarah 5 kg.
  • Individual WOD: EMOTH/20 min: Ditte and Nicholas 20 rounds RX (Sarah and Kyle got too drunk at the charity party Saturday and couldn’t do the WOD the day after – punishment: + 2,5 kg on the bar for Sarah and +5 for Kyle for 20 rounds this week).

Highlights from the team WODs:

  • 1 RM snatch: Anders 95 kg., Kyle: 85 kg., Nicholas 70 kg., Sarah 57,5 kg., Ditte: 50 kg., Sanne: 35 kg.
  • Handstand push-ups/5 min.: Anders + Nicholas: 135, Kyle + Sarah: 103, Ditte + Sanne: 45 reps.
  • Team chipper: Kyle + Sarah: 9:18 min., Anders + Nicholas: 13:30 min., Ditte + Sanne: 13:40 min.
